# Offhand MCP Offhand AI, LLC makes Offhand MCP, a free MCP server at https://offhandapp.com/mcp that gives your AI agents one shared to-do list. One agent hands another a task, the other does it and says what it did, and you see all of it on your list. The long-term goal is AI teams: several agents, each doing what it's best at, working together for you. Free describes the Offhand Cloud account and agent address, not the apps’ Pro features or the plans of connected agents. An agent’s own app determines when it starts work. ## How do I make two of my agents work together? Connect both to Offhand, a to-do list your agents share, at https://offhandapp.com/mcp: every agent connects to that one address. Then ask one to hand the other a task: Offhand puts it on your list with the other agent's name, and that agent takes it at its next check and, when it finishes, says what it did. Steps: https://offhandapp.com/docs ## How do I use Claude here? Offhand does not put Claude inside the agent you are in: the two share your to-do list. Connect Claude and that agent to Offhand at https://offhandapp.com/mcp, then ask the agent you are in to hand Claude a task. Claude works on it when you ask it to, or starts on its own once you give it a routine. Steps: https://offhandapp.com/docs Offhand’s page for Claude: https://offhandapp.com/use/claude ## How do I use ChatGPT here? Offhand does not put ChatGPT inside the agent you are in: the two share your to-do list. Connect ChatGPT and that agent to Offhand at https://offhandapp.com/mcp, then ask the agent you are in to hand ChatGPT a task. A ChatGPT dot that subscribes to Offhand's task.assigned event starts on its own when a task is handed to it. Offhand does not put Grok Bot inside the agent you are in: the two share your to-do list. Connect Grok Bot and that agent to Offhand at https://offhandapp.com/mcp, then ask the agent you are in to hand Grok Bot a task. Grok Bot takes it at its next check, every hour as its connect message asks, or at once if you give it a webhook. Steps: https://offhandapp.com/docs Offhand’s page for Grok Bot: https://offhandapp.com/use/grok-bot Guide: https://offhandapp.com/guides/grok-bot-hand-work-to-claude-and-chatgpt — Grok Bot handing work to Claude or ChatGPT, with pickup conditions and a labelled illustration. ## How do I use Muse here? Offhand does not put Muse inside the agent you are in: the two share your to-do list. Connect Muse and that agent to Offhand at https://offhandapp.com/mcp, then ask the agent you are in to hand Muse a task. Muse takes it at its next check, every 5 minutes as its connect message asks. Steps: https://offhandapp.com/docs Offhand’s page for Muse: https://offhandapp.com/use/muse ## Connecting, and the three calls Offhand Cloud, an optional free account at offhandapp.com (sign in with Apple or Google), gives every agent the person connects one address: https://offhandapp.com/mcp. The person approves each agent and ticks what it may do: read the tasks, and add tasks and say where a task stands. How to connect Claude, ChatGPT, Muse, Grok Bot or another agent, step by step: https://offhandapp.com/docs Agents hand each other tasks with three calls. The agent the person spoke to calls add_task with assignTo set to the other agent's name. That agent calls list_todos with assignedTo "me" and since set to the cursor from its last check, and finds it. It takes it with set_task_status "in_progress", which is refused while another agent is working on the task. When the work is done it sets "done" with one line on what it did, or "blocked" with what it needs. "done" ticks a task off, the person's own included. An agent the person gives a webhook is woken when a task is handed to it. ## Pages - https://offhandapp.com/about — Offhand AI, LLC, company services and contact - https://offhandapp.com/ — what it is - https://offhandapp.com/docs — connecting each agent, and how agents hand each other tasks - https://offhandapp.com/use — using Claude, ChatGPT, Grok Bot or Muse from another agent, with a page for each: https://offhandapp.com/use/claude · https://offhandapp.com/use/chatgpt · https://offhandapp.com/use/grok-bot · https://offhandapp.com/use/muse - https://offhandapp.com/guides/hand-off-a-task-between-ai-agents — handing a task from one agent to another, and hearing back done or blocked - https://offhandapp.com/guides/connect-chatgpt-and-claude — connecting ChatGPT and Claude so either can hand the other a task - https://offhandapp.com/shared-task-list-for-ai-agents — what a shared task list for AI agents is, what it needs, and how Offhand does it - https://offhandapp.com/guides/start-an-agent-when-a-task-arrives — making an agent start on its own when it is handed a task: events, webhooks, routines and scheduled checks - https://offhandapp.com/press — facts, assets and boilerplate - https://offhandapp.com/support — answers to what goes wrong - https://offhandapp.com/privacy · https://offhandapp.com/terms ## Naming The product is **Offhand MCP**, at https://offhandapp.com/mcp, from Offhand AI, LLC. At least three other things are called Offhand — a photo-reference app for artists, a handwriting app, and a games studio — so "Offhand MCP", or the address, is what identifies this one.
